In the document 'my first widgets' there are many references to the 'component controller', which is a part of the Jaffa component framework.

What we address here is the minimum needed to install and use some of the jaffa widgets, in an already existing Struts framework, with minimal impact on the application. In this case we can't assume any other part of the Jaffa framework is being used.
